About the RURAL-CONNECT platform

The RURAL-CONNECT official platform is an innovative, open-source online distance counseling and interactive learning site. It is designed to support young adults in rural communities who are currently NEET.

By delivering services remotely, the platform breaks down barriers associated with geographical remoteness and isolation. It provides rural youth with a digital ecosystem where they can access psychological support, build essential professional skills, receive career guidance and connect directly with the labor market.

Key features of the platform

Interactive distance counseling

Enables remote face-to-face counseling through a built-in videocall system, secure file sharing, and real-time chat between youth and professional mentors.

Structured e-learning & modules

Features a custom E-Library packed with free training materials and courses. It supports a range of learning assets—including rich-text lessons, integrated PDF manuals, video tutorials, knowledge quizzes and SCORM e-learning interactive packages.

Digital portfolios (CV builder)

Helps users build and maintain a complete online resume highlighting their qualifications, professional summaries, technical skills and target career sectors. Advisors can review these portfolios and provide directed feedback directly on the user’s profile.

Labor market links directory

Offers a country-by-country directory of national employment agencies and job search portals across partner nations, including Spain, Norway, Greece, Turkey, Latvia, Italy, and the wider EU.

Multilingual support

To support its European cooperative framework, the platform interface is fully localized in 7 languages: English, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Latvian, Italian, and Norwegian.
